Minimising the risk of Covid-19.

As the heart of the community, all of us at St Elizabeths House are taking every step we can to ensure the safety and well-being of our guest, and our employees. As we continue to remain vigilant and implement stringent measures against the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the health of all our guests and colleagues remains,as always, our top priority.

We are currently working extremely hard, so when you are able to visit us again, you can do this feeling assured that we have in place all the precautions to minimise the spread of Covid-19 and keep you and your loved ones safe.

We have adapted hotel operations focussing on hygiene, sanitisation and social distancing.We are currently re-training our teams to work within government guidelines whilst still offering the excellent levels of service.

GUEST ARRIVAL

  • We politely request if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 that you do not enter the hotel. These include; A high temperature, a new persistent cough and a loss of taste and smell. please visit the gov uk for a list of full symptoms
  • Hand sanitising stations will be provided at all entry and exits, customers will be required to sanitise before entering the hotel
  • Social distancing promoted throughout the hotel with signage on display as a reminder
  • Reception area have been reconfigured where necessary, with a safety screen and social distancing measures.

GUEST ROOMS

  • Every guest bedroom and en-suite will be fully sanitised before each stay and sealed to ensure no contamination occurs prior to your arrival
  • Decorative items removed (e.g. magazines)
  • All glassware and chinaware sterilised daily
  • Linens, towels and robes are professionally washed on high heat
  • Daily servicing by our housekeeping team will only be available upon request, should you require this service, rooms will need to be vacant

FOOD & BEVERAGE

  • Restaurant and bar floor plans arranged to meet local guidelines on social distancing
  • All food and beverages staff wash their hands every 30 minutes
  • Staff will be wearing face visors
  • Scheduled sanitising of all shared surfaces every 30 minutes
  • At present buffets are not permitted in accordance with government guidelines
  • We will be offering an a la carte breakfast for you to enjoy.
  • To maintain the social distancing guidelines, we will not be offering drinks at the bar instead, we will offer a full table service
  • Guest preferring to dine in the comfort of their room, we have our room service menu available

LOOKING AFTER OUR TEAM

  • Any staff members who shows symptoms will be immediately sent home and will be required to self-isolate for 14 days prior to returning to work
  • Our team have been trained to follow the the government Covid-19 secure workplace guidelines
  • Hand sanitising stations are located at all entry and exit points back of house for the teams to use
  • All workstations and colleague shared areas, both front of the house and heart of the house, planned to maintain social distancing
